It’s indeed true when they talk about the fact that getting close to nature teaches you a lot of lessons about life.

Sincerely speaking, I never really felt the truth in this saying until one day I visited the riverside. It was a very sunny afternoon.

My world was crashing and wanted to move away from the noise of the city where I could find peace and tranquillity for my soul, my intuition led me to this river several kilometres away from my residence.

At the riverside, while watching the activity of the river and trying to soothe me, I had this epiphany and learnt these lessons about life — what I call the river approach at winning in life.

These lessons came about when I started thinking about this whole madness call life and how to get the best out of it. And below, I share them with you.

Lesson #1 — A river flows forward and not backward

As I was at the riverside lost in the activity of the river, this was the first realisation that I had. That, we’re creatures of growth, and no matter what’s happening around our world, we must continue to grow without stopping.
