You can heal it, Lisa. I recommend you read Matt Haig's book; Reasons to stay alive. It’s a memoir on how he dealt with depression and emotional wounds to become the success he is today. I chanced on it at the library and have read it in two days and I can't describe in words the relief it's brought me in dealing with my own emotional scars, panic attacks. Please, search for it and read it. Very simple and easy to read.
